Community Garden
Our Membership Program
The Garden at Maroubra relies on the support of our volunteers to maintain and grow our garden. Our membership program is open to anyone who is interested in learning more about gardening and sustainable living. Whether you have experience in gardening or not, we welcome you!
As a member, you will have the opportunity to join on-site organic gardening, develop knowledge and capabilities around sustainable food cultivation and waste management practices. We provide all materials and training you'll need to work in the garden as part of the Membership Fee - soil, plants, seeds, mulch, water, tools.
Our shared garden beds mean we’ll work together to reap the benefits of The Garden, and everyone will have access to a much larger harvest and array of vegetables, herbs and fruit because we’ll be working the space together.

Throughout the year, you will enjoy fresh organic produce grown from the garden, meeting new people and participating in various working bees, workshops and events. We grow vegetables and plants, also build friendships, knowledge, and confidence.

We offer different types of membership programs and we require members to adhere to the Members Code of Conduct and undertake WHS training.

Working Member
$149 /year
To be a working member you can:

Learn how to garden organically and have all the tools and materials you need provided.

Grow, harvest & share food, together with members of the community.

Participate in working bees, workshops and events, enabling you to learn all the fundamentals of organic gardening.

Have the opportunity to foster a sustainable and local urban environment

Have the opportunity to socialise with like-minded people.

We suggest you to participate in working bees including WHS prior to become a member.
Dual Membership

We have an exciting offer for those who want to work in the garden with a friend or family member!
If you sign up together, you can get the second membership at a 50% discount.

Family Discount
$225 /year
We are pleased to offer a 50% discount to second family member when joining together.
Kids* under 15 can join for free when accompanied by a paying adult.
This is a wonderful opportunity for families to enjoy, learn about gardening and bond with your loved ones while also saving money.
